I went and listened to the band practice for there competion. They sounded really good, standing in the band room you can feel the beat of the music and the vibration. They were very professional. I love the sound of the flutes, they were beautiful. I also like how all the sounds of all the instruments sounded together. The ending was one of the best parts because its really loud and then the sound slowly fades.
The high schoolers came and talked to them. The high schoolers said they were there to recruit 8th grade band people so they could be in the high school band next year. They said they were really excited to be there and listen to them play.
After the competion I went back and talked to them about how they think they did and to ask them about there experience. They said they felt very prepared but said it was a nerve wrecking experience. They felt they grew as a band and said they learned new things. They said there were probably 50 bands there and they got a good score of a 2 out of 5.
